POSITION TITLE: ELECTRICIAN
POSITION REPORT TO: ELECTRICAL SUPERINTENDENT
DESCRIPTION OF JOB TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains and repairs of facilities electrical systems in a journeyman capacity under the direct supervision of the Journeyman and Superintendent.
- As directed by Journeyman and Superintendent loads, transports, unloads, and furnishes journeyman with materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Cleans work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary.
- Follows specific directions; perform a variety of duties which may often change; work within standards of accuracy; repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure; evaluate information using measurable standards.
- Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.
- Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment, following electrical code and blueprints, using hand tools and voltage tester.
- Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment, following manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints, using hand tools and test equipment.
- Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, using test equipment, and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables, using hand tools.
- Tests malfunctioning machinery, using test equipment, and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers, to diagnose malfunction.
- Replaces faulty electrical components of machine, and motors, using hand tools.
- Perform preventive maintenance of electrical equipment and lightning protection system.
- Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
- Performs other duties and activities as directed.
BASIC JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to read, interpret blueprints and design and follow engineering drawings, specifications, and instructions.
- Must have knowledge of electrical trade theory and follow the National Electrical Code.
- Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, bending, standing, climbing, or walking.
- Must speak, read, and understand the English Language.
- Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health.
- Must have a valid Professional Driver’s License with at least Restriction Code 2.
- Must have basic knowledge of Maximo and Tablet
JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS OR TRAINING:
- Completed TESDA course with the National Certifications in one or more is required:
- Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II, III
- Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II, III
- Electromechanics Technology
EDUCATION:
- Must have at least a High School diploma, Vocational or Technical course Graduate.
EXPERIENCE:
- Must have at least three (3) years’ experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Must also have successfully completed an approved three-year apprenticeship program and worked on electrical or electronic equipment for at least three years.
Basic terms of the job offer.
- Assignment Duration: 12 months. Renewal subject to performance and project status.
- Base Monthly Salary: 48 hours per week minimum work requirement: $510.00 (based on 48 hr. work week requirement)
- Working schedule: 48 hours per week (8 hours per day/6 days a week)
- Payroll period: Monthly. Amount give take home.
- Overtime: Work more than 8 hours per day or work performed on a rest day and/or holiday, will be paid as overtime at the base salary rate.
- Accommodations: Housing, transportation, meals in-country, and laundry facilities are provided
- Sick Leave: Employee will accrue 2.67 hours of sick leave for each full month of service, beginning with the completion of the first full month of Foreign Service employment.
- Annual leave Up to 21 days paid at the end of each 12-month contract.
- Travel will be provided by the employer to the employee’s home country.

- Your driver’s license must be valid for at least 6 months (unless processing for a CDL-required position, which will require 12 months remaining).
