Medical Officer

Our client a multinational is urgently looking to fill a vacancy for their operation at Diego Garcia, Indian Ocean Island.

DESCRIPTION OF JOB TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for administering the Contractor’s Medical and Dental Plan.

 BASIC JOB QUALIFICATIONS: (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to professionally and tactfully convey information to individuals regarding sensitive and confidential issues.
• Proven ability to organize, prioritize and follow-through to completion on multiple tasks, under strict deadlines and changing priorities.
• Must possess excellent administrative, organizational, and computer skills to include proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must have good oral and written communication skills which enable him/her to effectively liaise with clients, other departments within the organization, subcontractors and clients, and report directly to the Senior Management.
• Must have a valid and be able to obtain Non-Pro or Professional driver’s license

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS OR TRAINING

• Must have current and valid PRC license as a Physician/Medical Officer, TCN Health Care Providers (HCPs) will be required to participate in annual Continued Medical Education (CME) training commensurate with their profession (i.e. physicians/Doctors and nurses).
• Must have successfully completed Adult First Aid/CPR/AED Training from American Red Cross is highly desired or equivalent provider.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree in any “Pre-Med” courses (B.S. in Biology, Nursing, Psychology, Medical Technology, Pharmacy, Public Health and Physical Therapy) or other related Biological and Allied sciences, based on a four-year course of study from accredited college or university or equivalent institution.
• Must be a graduate of Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from accredited college or university or equivalent institution.

EXPERIENCE:

• At least two (2) years of experience after completion of residency in general medicine or family practice. No confirmed record of malpractice or professional disciplinary action from a recognized professional society.

Basic terms of the job offer.

• Assignment Duration: 12 months. Renewal subject to performance.
• Base Monthly Salary: 48 hours per week minimum work requirement: $3250.00 (based on 48 hr. work week requirement)
• Working schedule: 48 hours per week (8 hours per day/6 days a week)
• Payroll period: Monthly. Amount give take home.
• Overtime: Work more than 8 hours per day or work performed on a rest day and/or holiday,

will be paid as overtime at the base salary rate.

• Accommodations: Housing, transportation, meals in-country, and laundry facilities are provided
• Sick Leave: Employee will accrue 2.67 hours of sick leave for each full month of service, beginning with the completion of the first full month of Foreign Service employment.
• Annual leave Up to 21 days paid at the end of each 12-month contract.
• Travel will be provided by the employer to the employee’s home country.
• Project Holidays: 10 paid holidays. New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr.’s Birthday, President’s Day, Philippine Independence Day, USA Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day

• Updated covid 19 and yellow fever vaccination certificate
• Medical screening at a date to be advised.
