Our client a hotel based in Meru town is looking qualified candidate to take up the role of barista.
Job role
She/He is responsible for making quality drinks, taking orders, handling payments, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, according to specific recipes and customer preferences.
- Greet customers, take orders, provide menu recommendations, and answer questions about beverages and other products.
- Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions using a POS system.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the coffee bar, equipment, and seating areas.
- Stock and replenish supplies as needed, ensuring enough ingredients, beverages, and other items.
- Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines and uphold brand standards for customer service and product quality.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy.
Skills and knowledge requirements
- Previous work experience as a Barista, Food Server or similar role
- Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
- Knowledge of sanitation regulations and practice.
- Flexibility to work various shifts
- Excellent communication skills
- High school and college diploma
- Relevant training is an added advantage.
